Bikeaware was founded in 2010 by David Love, a seasoned business creator, social entrepreneur and active travel campaigner. David is a founding sponsor of Open Streets, which promotes the use of streets as public space. London's first Open Streets event took place in Southwark on May 30th 2015, expertly summarised in this Streetfilms video.
An early advocate of mass participation cycling events modelled on the Cape Town Cycle Tour, he championed the first London Freewheel (later Skyride and now Prudential RideLondon) and for six years was a trustee of the London Cycling Campaign.
He created the Share the Road, 3 Feet Please and Ride 'n' Stride driver awareness campaigns. He also runs a business that builds data aggregation software.
David lives in London, and when he's not riding his Brompton he rents a Santander bike. He loves how the sturdy red machines make him feel less like a cyclist, more just a guy on a bike.
